IndexComputer.com was formed to fill a "niche" of providing
computer parts to the computer maintenance industry. Customers and
their needs have grown, and IndexComputer.com has kept the pace.
Our home is a state of the art facility two miles from Fort Lauderdale
International airport, where we maintain a large inventory of spare
parts, notebooks, servers, desktops, monitors, printers, POS and
much more.
IndexComputer.com is the largest IBM after-market provider in north
and South America. Concentrating mainly on the IBM, but the sales
staff is also qualified to assist with any HP, COMPAQ, TOSHIBA,
& SONY needs, for either the latest in cutting edge technology
or hard-to-find discontinued (out-of-production) parts.
Each
member of our Sales & Technical staff has on the average 11 years
experience in the pc computer and computer replacement parts industry.
Additionally, our in-house service department offers dependable
repairs and tech support on all system boards, controllers, notebooks
and equipment that IndexComputer.com sells. Personal attention,

Business Company Overview
IndexComputer.com
was founded in 1992 providing computer parts to the computer maintenance
industry. Our state of the art facility two miles from Fort Lauderdale
International airport, where we maintain a large inventory of spare
parts, notebooks, servers, desktops, monitors, printers, POS and
much more. We are a stocking source provider for many Original Equipment
Manufactures (OEM) products, specializing in IBM, HP, COMPAQ,
SONY & TOSHIBA. In an effort to provide products on an immediate
basis to our customers, our main goal is to provide in-stock parts
from our vast inventory on an immediate basis. In March of 1999,
as part of our expansion, we have relocated our HQ and main warehouse
to a larger location. In doing so, we are now able to house an expanded
growth of inventory and provide extended hours of shipping, as well
as, faster response time for counter-to-counter service.
Partnership
In addition to winning the yearly bid with GE for exclusively supplying
IBM equipment, IndexComputer.com has also created a relationship
with Unisys, Decision One, Wang-Global and many more. We have
been providing these third-party maintenance companies with complete
computer systems as well as stock parts. In Florida, Charter Schools
have benefited by this due to the fact that a service contract was
not necessary by employing their own in-house technicians and supplying
all necessary parts.
Transportation and Operation
Currently contracts with FedEx, UPS, Airborne and Roadway Package
Service, expedites hundreds of shipments a day. On-line computer
systems that we have are producing labels as well as tracking information
that is quickly recorded to our order system. We ship packages weighing
from 1 lb. to palletized truck orders.
Information Technology/Decision Support Capabilities
Recently, IndexComputer.com's IT capabilities were completely renovated
as of March, 2000. New software systems are being installed for
such needs as: Transportation management, consolidation and routing
and material tracking. Furthermore we have just recently gone into
contract with a new software company to re-vamp our entire system
and update it using the latest Microsoft's SQL's database software
available.
Repair Capabilities
- We offer in-house repair facilities at component level
- Turnaround time averages two to four days
- All repairs are followed by a 180 day warranty on parts &
labor
- No charge for non repairable parts
Return Process
Return Policy is as follows: (RMA for Returned Material Authorization)
- All RMA's will be voided after 10 days from issue date
- RMA packages must be received on or before the expiration
date. All others will be refused and returned to customer.
- RMA number must be issued by the customer's sales representative
and serial number shall be verified prior to RMA number issued.
- Items returned in good working condition may be subject to
a 20% restocking fee.
- Customer is responsible for all shipping charges on returned
items.
Exchange/Core Credit
IndexComputer.com currently offers a Repair/Exchange program on
certain items determined by the sales representative only prior
to purchase orders being placed. Exchange item must be returned
within 30 days of issuing R/E number. Invoices will reflect prices
after item has been returned.
Warranty
IndexComputer.com reserves the right to decline warranty repairs
of equipment in the event of damage resulting from the following:
Accident; negligence; misuse of equipment; failure due to power
shortage or over voltage due to natural causes (adverse weather
conditions or lighting.)
